2017: Life in Sparta, Part 3: Women and Slaves

AIM:  SWBAT identify the lives of women and slaves in Sparta, the major elements of each, and how they affected the lives of Spartans by completing selected activities and the Exit Slip with at least 80% accuracy.

Today you will begin learning about the lives of women and slaves in the Greek city of Sparta.  This is our last lesson on the structure of Athens and Sparta, so be prepared for your quiz on Monday.

Task 1:  Read the selection from your textbook on the lives of women and slaves, and complete your notes on the organizer that you have been given.

Task 2:  Complete the review of your reading.

Task 3: For your remaining time, you need to complete any assignments that have not been submitted to Mr. Perry.  Today is the last day to turn in anything that was assigned this and last week.  Use this time to complete any of the following assignments:
  1. Your Strip Generator comic about education and the lives of women and slaves in Athens.
  2. Your Strip Generator comic or writing activity about the government and economy of Sparta.
  3. Your StoryJumper storybook, or GoAnimate cartoon about education in Sparta.
Task 4 (optional): If you have finished all of the assignments above, for a large amount of extra-credit, choose Strip Generator, GoAnimate, or StoryJumper to create a summary of the live of women and slaves in Sparta.

Task 5:  If you have finished all of the above, you may start your homework.
