2018: DIfferences Between the North and South/The Missouri Compromise

AIM: SWBAT identify the differences between the societies of the North and South in the U.S. in 1860, and describe the causes and effects of the Missouri Compromise by completing selected activities and the Exit Slip with at least 80% accuracy.

Today you will begin learning about the causes of the Civil War.  You will do this taking a few notes, and then doing a couple of fun summary activities below.

Task 1: You will read your textbook pages 186, 187, and 188.  Use the pages to complete your notes.

Task 2: Use your notes and your textbook pages from above to complete this review.

Task 3: Go to the Los Angeles Times website.  Mr. Perry will give you the login and password information.  You will read the article title "Tornado Kills Four, Causes Major Damage in Massachusetts" on page AA2.

Task 4:  Complete this question review of the article you read today.

Task 5: Begin working on your homework.
