2018 Final Projects and Current Events

AIM: 2018WBAT identify the expectations for a successful final project by examining project criteria; begin researching and analyzing information on project topics using web research materials; analyze a current event article by completing summary assignment with at least 80% accuracy.

Task 1: Today you will begin your final project.  Your project will consist of three parts:

1. A 1-2 page paper-  Mr. Perry will review the criteria with in today in class.
2. A 3-5 minute presentation.
3. A creative visual-  You may create your creative visual using any of the methods below.

• Create a digital story with text, links, pictures and videos using Storify
• Create an animated video using GoAnimate
• Make a cool presentation with Prezi or Google Docs.
• Make and upload a video or screencast to YouTube
• Create a non-fiction book using StoryJumper.
• Create a comic using Stripgenerator

To see the topic for your project, click on your homeroom below, and look for your name.

Take the next 10 minutes to search the web for some information about your topic.

Task 2: Go to the Los Angeles Times website.  Mr. Perry will give you the login and password information.  Today you will be reading a fun article titled, "X-Men: Extreme...and Excessive" on page D1.

Task 3:  Complete this question review of the article you read today.
