2017: Life in Athens, Part 2

AIM:  SWBAT identify the structure of Athenian education and the lives of women and slaves, the major elements of each, and how they affected the lives of Athenians by completing selected activities and the Exit Slip with at least 80% accuracy.

Today you will be studying the education system and the lives of women and slaves in Athens.  You will be doing so by taking some great notes, and using a new tool called Strip Generator.

Task 1: You will be reading to learn more about education and the lives of women and slaves.  Take notes on the note taking handout you received from Mr. Perry.

Task 2:  You will be using Strip Generator to create a comic strip that summarizes what you learned today.  There is a brief sign-up process that Mr. Perry will guide you through.  You will follow these steps:

  1. Create your account for the site as Mr. Perry will instruct you.
  2. Make your strip summarizing today's lesson.  Make your strip as creative and informative as possible.  Look at my example strip below.
  3. Once you are done, follow Mr. Perry's instructions to email your completed strip to bperry@kippla.org.

If you do not have a Google account, complete this part of the assignment on the handout Mr. Perry will give you.

Task 3:  Complete your Exit Slip.
