2017: Important Figures of the Ancient World

AIM: SWBAT analyze and describe the lives of a major figure in ancient history by using the textbook and research to complete reviews, research guides, and a visual summary with at least 80% accuracy.

Today you wil have the chance to select one of three major figures in ancient history.  After you select your figure, you will first read a brief textbook page about them.  You will then have an opportunity to research more about their lives.  Finally, you will be able to complete a visual summary about your figure that can be used to teach others.

Task 1:  Select on of the following three figures to read about: Julius Caesar, King Ramses II, or The Buddha.

Task 2:  Click on your figure's name to complete a summary about your reading:

Task 3:  You may use any of the following sites to research for more information about your historical figure:

Task 3: Select any of the following sites to complete a visual summary about the life of the historical figure you selected.



Task 4 (also homework): If you complete your visual, go to the Los Angeles Times website.  The username and password information is below.  Select any article from any section of the paper, and complete this question review of the article you read.  The information you will need to login is:

You may read and complete the review with as many articles as you like.  You will receive credit for all of the articles you complete.
